Moving to Nashville
Below you can listen to a story from my album (more on that below) about when I moved to Nashville 8 years ago.
I had no idea where I was. No smart phone to guide me. No friends. No place to live. And only a few days worth of clothes. Sounds promising right? Apparently I thought so.
So what did I do? I started talking to people. And I truly credit that to all the career opportunities that have come my way since then. It’s why I’m so passionate about networking… it’s why I love helping others learn how to enjoy networking… because I know how powerful it can be.
Your success is going to be limited if you try to go at it on your own. It takes community. And to find your community, you have to put yourself out there and network.
Whether you’re new to Nashville yourself or if you are starting a new venture — I hope my story helps you realize that you’re not alone. We all start from zero when pursuing something new. Sure, networking can definitely be intimidating… but when you truly embrace the power of community… good things will come.
My hope is that my “Moving to Nashville” story will inspire you to put yourself out there. And if you’re looking for a way to do so… Network Together Week is for you! Click here to learn more and join in.
Network Together Week is a 5-day guided networking experience that kicks off next Monday (October 7) in the Music Biz Besties Facebook group where you’ll learn how to grow your music industry network in new ways that don’t involve large events, jumping in on conversations with strangers, or a bunch of cold emails.

I’ll leave you with this question… when was the last time you were so motivated by an end goal that you were willing to do whatever it took to make it happen? We can’t always live in that place, but when you’re in it - amazing things can happen if you just let go, put in the work, and trust that everything will work out.
