Soundstripe is looking for a Content Marketing Specialist to help with the execution of web copy activities that fit within the broader scope of our digital marketing strategy. Reporting to our Director of Digital Marketing, you’ll be working closely with him as well as our creative team and VP of Marketing to help scale our digital strategy. As we continue to pursue organic search, paid media and email as channels for growth, we are looking for help with activities such as blogging, web copy with the intent to rank in search, ad copy, long-form assets such as ebooks, and email copy, among others.
As Content Marketing Specialist, responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Optimization of blog posts to rank in search.
Guest blogging with partnering publications.
Assisting with the location of new publications to partner with (temporarily).
Ideating topics, strategies and content for the editorial calendar (managed by our Director of Digital and VP of Marketing).
Email copywriting & optimization.
Working with the Director of Digital Marketing to improve the conversion rates associated with our email campaigns.
Web copywriting for new webpages as well as pages that need to be refreshed or optimized.
Execution and ownership of bi-weekly newsletter from Soundstripe. This includes tracking engagement with the newsletter and signing up for goals aimed at improvement.
Our Content Marketing Specialist will embrace and believe in our Core Values. In addition to embodying these values, the Content Marketing Specialist will demonstrate the following competencies and skills required for success in this role.
3-5 years experience in a copywriting or digital marketing role.
Bachelor degree in journalism, english or other marketing competency.
Familiarity with Hubspot.
Understanding of the basics of SEO (how to get a page to rank).
Portfolio of writing samples is a requirement.
Experience identifying and creating campaigns for target audience.
Highly motivated, results-driven achiever.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Familiarity with SEO best practices.
Experience across multiple forms of copywriting, including blogging, ebooks, whitepapers, web copy, email copy, ad copy, etc.
Exemplary ethics and integrity.
Exceptional problem solving / analysis skills.
Skills & Abilities
Technical understanding and the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and platforms is as important as interpersonal and organizational strengths in this role. Soundstripe’s Content Marketing Specialist will be required to operate within the following software and applications (and more):
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
Experience with Hootsuite, Sprout Social, or HubSpot
