Department Description:

Websites, email, social media –The Warner Records Fan Engagement department oversees all these vital consumer touchpoints. We do more than take great #selfies! We oversee all the ways artists communicate with their fanbase online, be it a meme that made you laugh, a tweet that made you cry, a playlist you can’t live without, or an email about your favorite artist’s brand-new album. Our mission is to acquire, engage, and retain fans with clever digital strategies and compelling content.

High Level Job Description: 

The Fan Engagement Coordinators are like the instrument techs and Front of House engineers at a concert – working behind the scenes but critical to a great performance. They oversee the foundational tasks that enable our department to move forward. Their job is comprised of 4 primary areas of responsibility: Content, Maintenance, Posting, and Research.

Detailed Job Description/ Responsibilities:

  • Participate in weekly brainstorms around artist content

  • Create and track URLs as needed (for releases, ticket sales, streams, etc.)

  • Locate, curate, edit, and maintain library of digital assets for artists

  • Review and update artist social and web properties

  • Submit and manage requests to other departments

  • Collect contact info and ship items to contest winners

  • Maintain invites & RSVPs for artist showcases & events

  • QA and post approved social content, email newsletters, blog updates, videos, tour dates, etc. to artist social and digital channels

  • Manage tour dates for artist websites and social media (Facebook event creation, Song Kick set-up, etc.)

  • Pull social and digital reports as requested using our internal suite of tools

  • Research influencers, new blogs, and other partnership opportunities

  • Stay up to date on new social and digital technology in the marketplace

  • Create social assets upon need (IG Stories, teaser clips, etc.)

  • Manage email blasts (writing copy, asset submission, etc.)

Required Competencies/Skills:

  • 2-3+ years professional experience in social media marketing/management, direct to consumer marketing, and/or content creation

  • In depth knowledge of all social media platforms and analytics, streaming and mobile services, and apps

  • In depth knowledge of HTML, Photoshop/graphic design software, Final Cut or video editing, Word, Excel, etc.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills with added attention to details and deadlines

  • Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively work in a fast-paced environment with both creative and business-oriented colleagues and partners

Education Required/Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Knowledge of digital marketing or music business a plus
