Position Overview

Soundstripe is looking for an accomplished, results-driven Director of Digital Marketing to take the lead in developing successful, long term digital marketing strategies for Soundstripe. We’re a fast-paced, high-growth music technology company, and we rely on inbound marketing activities to generate demand, nurture leads, convert and retain our customers.

Our ideal candidate is a data driven all-star, hungry to increase Soundstripe’s marketing efforts while leading a team of talented marketers. A successful Director of Digital Marketing will have in-depth technical marketing experience, will feel passionate about digital technologies, and will be energized by the opportunity to apply results-driven strategies while developing innovative talent on Soundstripe’s marketing team.

In this role you will work closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure consistency and excellence throughout a variety of digital marketing channels. You will lead the charge in creating our marketing automation strategy, using tools like Hubspot, Webflow, Mixpanel, Google Analytics, and more. You will work closely with our VP of Marketing to develop and execute marketing activities that will drive growth and allow Soundstripe to meet its business objectives.

Soundstripe’s Director of Digital Marketing will be the driving force behind all digital marketing efforts targeted at achieving our business revenue objectives. To be successful in this role, you’ll be relied on to provide forward-thinking ideas in order to construct and maintain a robust marketing funnel. Do you believe you’re our ideal candidate?

Soundstripe’s Director of Digital Marketing is a full-time, salaried position based out of Soundstripe headquarters in Nashville, Tennessee. 


Director of Digital Marketing responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Leading, motivating, and developing a talented team of marketers to carry out business objectives

  • Managing results for all inbound digital marketing activity:

    • SEO, PPC, website traffic, lead generation, email automation, digital sponsorship and affiliate marketing efforts

  • Measuring and reporting on ROI and KPIs to VP of Marketing

  • Preparing budgets as a result of ROI and KPIs

  • Conceptualizing and developing campaigns to create higher levels of customer engagement, website traffic, and conversion rate optimization

  • Constructing and executing email marketing and automation campaigns

  • Forecasting sales performance trends in the interest of increasing our market segment

  • Liaising with product and engineering teams to make sure appropriate technology systems are in place to accurately report and track metrics

  • Leading the strategy, deployment, and measurement of all digital properties, including web pages, blogs, and landing pages

  • Monitoring competition and providing ideas to help us stay ahead of the curve with digital marketing trends

Skills & Abilities

  • Experience with results-driven marketing campaigns leveraging automation suites such as HubSpot to track and analyze data

  • Knowledge and use of strategic digital marketing channels, tools and best practices

  • Proven history of working with SEO/SEM, Google Analytics and CRM software

  • Proficiency working with web design and tenets thereof

  • Expertise in data analytics and project management

  • Skilled communication and proven history leading and inspiring teams

Education and Professional Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred

  • Degree or certification in Marketing, Digital Technologies, or relevant field ideal

  • 3+ years experience working within and leading Marketing teams
