Marketing Coordinator/ Concert Marketer

Job Summary

  • Create and execute comprehensive marketing plans with individual show budgets for live music and comedy events at theaters, arenas and amphitheaters throughout the country

  • Work with the respective artist’s manager or publicist to review marketing plan and materials

  • Compile post event analysis and advertising settlement packages

  • Research various performing artists and provide marketing recommendations when necessary

  • Coordinate with the box office on shipping all promotional tickets to radio stations

  • Work with contracted graphic designer on creating market specific materials

  • Assist with day to day marketing tasks as needed

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Order & ship all radio & tv spots for all shows as assigned

  • Proof all show announcements, ads, and press releases for print/distribution

  • Coordinate grass roots level marketing campaigns using retail, street teams and local media partnerships

  • Review invoices for accuracy and allocate to shows

  • Work with accounting department to ensure invoices are paid in a timely manner and inquire about anything outstanding

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field

  • 1-3 years experience with marketing

  • Detail-oriented and able to coordinate multiple work streams under deadline pressure

  • Ability to take initiative, problem solve and perform research

  • Knowledge of the principles of target marketing

  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, particularly MS Excel and Word

  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud apps

  • General knowledge of music, sports, theater, and family events

  • Knowledge of concert promotion and live event business a plus

  • Experience with Google AdWords, Facebook and Twitter Ads preferred
