Music Content Operations focuses on global operations of music licenses for Facebook, inclusive of record labels, music publishers, and rights societies. As a Music Content Operations Analyst, you will help Facebook navigate music publisher and label data, be the team expert on music publisher copyright research, hire and train music researchers, create and implement new data quality workflows, and assure that the quality of research coming out of our team exceeds industry standards.

As part of the larger Media Operations team, the Music Content Operations Analyst will also be the organization expert on how music publisher and label rights effect content across all Facebook properties, especially in video.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain training documents on music publishing/composition research

  • Manage QA process for team of researchers

  • Create and implement new workflows to adapt to evolving data needs

  • Provide product feedback to ensure our custom rights management system works for ever-changing music rights landscape

  • Work with broader Media Operations team to operationalize contractually-obligated music processes for music labels and publishers

  • Provide scaled partner-support and onboarding for music labels and publishers

  • Be internal expert on the intersection of music rights and platform functionality

    Minimum Qualification

  • BA or BS degree

  • 2+ years experience in music research

  • Knowledge of the US music publishing landscape as it relates to ownership data standards and important catalogs

  • Data entry, research, and Microsoft Excel experience
