Position Overview

The partnerships lead plays an integral part in Soundstripe’s growth strategy. As the partner program channel manager you are responsible for new revenue, member acquisition, and partner acquisition growth. You will report to the Director of Digital Marketing and work with a talented team of marketers to scale Soundstripe’s brand influence and drive new member growth.

Our partners are social media influencers, online educators, businesses, filmmakers, and creators. Each persona has unique goals for partnership with Soundstripe’s brand. The Partnerships Lead is responsible for identifying partner opportunities, creating scalable processes, and engaging with partners through brand integrations, affiliate deals, sponsorships, and business development deals. This role requires a creative touch and working with creators to craft promotional strategies which are most impactful to their audience and also helps Soundstripe meet our objectives.

This role requires a “hunter” mentality. You are not afraid to pick up the phone, send outbound emails, or talk to people at events. We’re looking for someone who is excited by being held accountable to sales goals and meeting growth objectives. As the partner channel continues to scale this person will play an important part in training and developing a team to effectively grow our efforts.


As Partnerships Lead, responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Management and adherence to KPIs associated with our partner program, including number of partners added MoM, user referrals from partners, and revenue from partner program.

  • Management of the partner program application process, approvals, denials etc.

  • Management of outreach to new partners in our many targeted verticals.

  • Management of our sponsorship budget and allocation to the most effective and impactful areas of opportunity.

  • Measurement of sponsored campaigns with partners.

  • Nurturing strong, long term relationships with partners. Be a surrogate for the Soundstripe brand and ensure all communication and professional activities are conducted with altruism and integrity.

  • Communication with the content team for inclusion of partners in relevant blog posts, social media campaigns, etc.

  • Negotiation of partner deals on behalf of Soundstripe, understanding that we are inventing a lot of this still. We need someone who can be inventive and help us create a playbook for scale across the many different types of relationships we are fostering.

  • Lead active outbound relationship building efforts such as phone calls, emails, and in-person events to generate partner demand.

  • Work with Director of Digital and VP of Marketing on plans to expand Partner Program abroad.

  • 3-5 years experience in customer success, sales, or other relevant relationship-building role.

  • Outgoing personality, strong relationship builder.

  • A creative flair! We need someone who can communicate well with influencers and can help come up with some creative ideas for sponsored campaigns.

  • Ability to create win-win deals where there is no template or playbook to draw from.

  • A “hunter” mentality, seeking new relationships that will help us grow.

  • Familiarity with Hubspot or comparable CRM.
