Purpose of the Position:
The YouTube Composition Specialist is responsible for monitoring, maintaining and growing the revenue for Concord Music’s composition assets at YouTube and other applicable on-line monetization platforms.
Create and manage Concord Music’s composition claims and music publishing metadata on the YouTube platform via the Content Management System
Monitor ownership conflicts and all related disputes for maximum efficiency
Generate analytical reports as needed with regards to company performance and monetization
Strategize ideas for claiming, playlisting, and collaboration for maximum royalty collection
Provide expertise and insights into monetization and YouTube algorithms for Concord’s related sound recordings and channels
When applicable, researching song publishing information using ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, HFA, the international Societies, contracts and/or Music Maestro
Other duties as assigned, including assisting writers and artists as needed
Primary Lateral Interfaces:
This position will report to the Director of On-Line Monetization in Rights Data Management and will primarily interact with the Music Publishing, Repertoire Management and A&R Administration teams as well as outside third-party publishers.
The position will be based in the Concord Music Nashville office
Knowledge of best practices for YouTube asset management
1+ year experience in Music Publishing
Music Maestro knowledge is a plus
Candidates must have experience using Microsoft Excel
Strong organizational and record keeping skills
Superb accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to multi-task and thrive on a small team in a fast paced environment
Passionate about a wide-range of music and technology/digital trends
Basic video editing experience is a plus
